The poll, released Friday, Feb. 2., shows Kim, who represents the 3rd Congressional District, leading Murphy 32 percent to 20 percent, with 31 percent of voters undecided.

Kim and Murphy are running to unseat Sen. Bob Menendez, who was recently indicted on federal corruption charges. Menendez has refused calls for him to resign, including from Murphy's husband, Gov. Phil Murphy, and has not yet said if he is running for re-election.

Menendez finished third in the poll, garnering nine percent support. While the poll shows Murphy tops Kim with name recognition, Kim has a higher favorability rating than Murphy. The First Lady's disapproval rate was 14 percent among Garden Staters, while Kim's was just two percent. Menendez's disapproval rating was 53 percent, according to the poll.

The survey was conducted between Sunday, January 21 and Sunday, January 28, and featured a sample of 504 respondents. To view the complete results of the poll, click here.
